Background
Currently, this unit is set up on the fifth floor of the first medical building, and the sizes of the room are 4 single bed rooms, one double bed room, and 11 quadruple bed rooms, which amounts to 50 beds. In addition, there are multi functional activity rooms, occupational therapy room, Buddhist hall and bathrooms. Currently, our center has one part time doctor, seven nurses, ten patient service staff, one maintenance worker. Moreover, there are many part time social workers, dieticians and rehab therapists. Currently, the rate of the occupancy has reached over 70%, besides caring for the patients, our unit proactively participates in all social activities, and offers our facility for the interns from Hsin Sheng Nursing School and Jente Medical Junior College.
Concluding remark
Our unit has recently passed the evaluation from Taiwan Long Term Care Association, and the commissioners have expressed approval on our belief and method, under the circumstances where today’s society has changed rapidly, if the disabled or mentally disabled elderly becomes a burden on the family, our unit will provide the service to help you with this burden.
